Craft: Heart Card

Heart Card.jpg

This card is perfect for any occasion, and you can also customise the colours and patterns. You could even add a message at the bottom of the card.

You will need:

Craft knife

Cutting mat

PVA glue

Patterned paper

Pastel coloured card

White card

White or brown envelope

1. Cut a 21cm x 10.5cm piece of card and fold it in half. Cover the card front in patterned polka dot paper. With the folded edge at the top, add a strip of plain card along the bottom edge of the card. We have used a pastel colour.

2. Create a heart template. Draw two hearts on your patterned paper and cut out. We have used a vintage poem and botanical book. Score and fold along the centre of each heart as marked by the dotted line. Spread a thin line of PVA glue along the creased fold of the heart. Stick both of the hearts together.

3. Apply a thin line of glue to the back of the heart. Press the joined heart glue-side down onto the centre front of the base card. When the glue is completely dry, gently fold the sides of the hearts upwards.
