Craft: Teacup Candles

Teacups 1.jpg

If you love vintage, then you’ll love making these teacup candles. You can find old teacups in vintage, charity or antique shops. These candles make a great present, especially with Christmas around the corner!

You will need:

Vintage teacup

Wax

Pre waxed candle wick

Glue dots

Wooden spoon

Jug

Bowl

Saucepan

Peg

Fragranced essential oil

1. Prepare the wicks by placing these in the middle of the teacups. Stick down the wicks using glue dots. Hold in place by using a peg.

2. Place the wax into a jug or in a bowl. Microwave the jug until the wax is fully melted. If you do not have a microwave, you can place a bowl on top of a saucepan with boiling water. Again, make sure the wax is fully melted.

3.  Add the essential oil and stir. Pour the melted wax carefully into the vintage teacups, until you’re near to the top.

4. Allow the wax to cool, before lighting the wick. A very simple craft to do and they make a great gift!
